PROTEIN CRYSTAL HARVESTING The following videos show examples of harvesting using our micro
manipulator
tools. Two models are available. One is automated on XY and Z axis. The
other is automated in The Z axis with manual micro controls on the X
and Y
axes. Tools shown in the video are 75u harvesting tools by MiTeGen. The
manipulators are controlled by a multi function / multi-axis controller.
A
menu driven Macro script program lets you easily write sequences for
the
manipulators to perform. After harvesting another sequence will
automatically dip crystal into cryo protectant.

This is an example of several crystal fragments being accidentally harvested with the desired crystal. This sort of event probably occurs more frequently than realized with unassisted manual harvesting. |
